The owner of Wilson’s Instant Tree Bank is Benson Aboujafari, a foreign national who later married a Kapampangan. He started and introduced these varieties of mulberry he called” Everbearing mulberries” mainly imported from Illinois here in Pampanga and later on, spread throughout the Philippines.

He is also a prestigious Plant Scientist, Plant Doctor, and plantsman who is very knowledgeable as he acclimatized the mulberries that were originally from Illinois and Chicago to the Tropical climate of the Philippines, but also came up with the idea of Defoliation of the Mulberries after a long process of studies and research.

If you aren’t aware of the process of Defoliation, then it’s time for you to know how unique this process is for mulberry growers.

Defoliation is a method where you must remove all of the green parts of the plants by cutting them off. Usually, mulberry plants can only bear fruit seasonally. And therefore, the idea of defoliating the mulberry plant is what makes them bear fruit for only 60 days and not seasonally.

You can also rest assured that their Mulberries are safe to eat and pick and pest free because they are not using harmful substances that might affect or contaminate the plants.
