Last April 20, 2022, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) launched a temporary off-site passport service hub located at Robinson Starmills Pampanga.
DFA Assistant Secretary Senen Mangalile mentioned in his interview that the TOP will reduce problems such as the backlog of consular offices in the renewal of passports especially for the Overseas Filipino workers and travelers.
It is said that the TOPS stated here, can attend to the convenience of 300 applicants per day, and it can potentially increase to 500 applicants in upcoming months.
The TOPS located at Robinson Starmills Pampanga is the 17th out of 20th satellite office nationwide that the DFA is opening right now.
“This will address the high demand of passport renewal slots per day,” Mangalile emphasized.
On the other hand, Robinson Land Corps. External Affairs and Operations Support Director Irving Yu guaranteed that the government services found at Robinson Malls are easily available and beneficial to the community through their cooperation with several agencies in the administration.
So far, Some TOPS sites are situated at Robinson Angeles, Robinson Starmills in San Fernando, Robinson Place in Malolos, Robinson Bacolod, and Robinson Place in Iloilo City- each mall aiming to have at least 500 slots per day.
Up until now, there are overall 17 DFA TOPS sites as well as those inaugurated last year in Robinsons Galleria South, Robinsons Novaliches, Robinsons Place Lipa Robinsons Place Las Pinas, and Robinsons Magnolia.
Adding to these, Asec Mangalile mentioned how to get a slot, applicants must first set an appointment through the DFA Online Appointment System at www.passport.gov.ph. Only those with completely accomplished printed appointments shall be accepted at the passport processing site.
