The Construction of the Pampanga Delta Bridge Project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Masantol, Pampanga is now 88 percent finished, according to the DPWH agency.
The ₱566.6 million Pampanga Delta Bridge is projected to boost economic development in the neighboring municipalities of Masantol and Macabebe in the province of Pampanga and also, the neighboring town of Hagonoy, Malolos City, and Calumpit in Bulacan.
The construction of the 270-meter bridge under the DPWH Bridges Construction Replacement Program (BCRP) 2 implemented by DPWH Unified Project Management Office – Bridges Management Cluster (UPMO-BMC) is being carried out by contractor Eddmari Construction & Trading in joint venture partnership with J.H. Pajara Construction Company.
It is said that the new Pampanga Delta Bridge will encourage investments and development with better connectivity for the town of Masantol and Macabebe which are acknowledged to be the province’s center of aquaculture developments, and also the fastest growing food-producing activity on the northern shoreline of the famous Manila Bay by having hectares of fishponds for shrimps, bangus, tilapia, and crabs.
DPWH said the estimated completion of the project has been scheduled for September 2023, which was delayed by the Pandemic.
