Rehydration Center and Charity Clinic is expected to rise in Angeles City

A Rehydration Center and Charity Clinic will soon rise in Angeles City, Pampanga that will provide supplementary free health services for poverty-stricken residents of Angeles City.

To be built alongside Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC), the Rehydration Center and Charity clinic will have a medical clinic, dental clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, and a level-2 rehydration center that will provide charity to patients in Angeles City.

First District Rep. Carmelo “Jon-Jon” Lazatin II and Executive Assistant V Rafael Angeles, on behalf of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr, the other day spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony for the center and clinic, which will be named Ben Tan Foundation Rehydration Center and Charity Clinics.

The groundbreaking Ceremony was also attended by Dr. Erwin Brian Tan, president of the Rotary Club of Clark Centennial; Dr. Froilan Canlas, Medical Director of RLMMC; Dr. Jean Caroline Tan, Club Secretary of RCCC; Derek Hewitt, Past President of RCCC and Project Director; Alan Varley, Treasurer of RCCC; Beda Quiambao Jr. Secretary-General of Patrol Partylist; Dr. Jenneth Sarmiento, Chief of Staff of Congressman Lazatin;

The project was only possible due to the partnership of The Ben Tan Foundation and the Rotary Club of Clark Centennial (RCCC) and the Rotaract Club of Clark.

Currently, the partner organizations have made a memorandum of agreement with the RLMMC to deal with the mild to moderately dehydrated patients that will consume most of the resources of the Hospital.

According to the study carried out by the RCCC, the vast majority of the patients being treated by the local hospital for the most part needed intravenous (IV) hydration, if not apprehended, will lead to casualties.

The Project regarding the Rehydration Center was envisioned to tackle the necessary action and immediate need of the community and likewise to help defecate the RLMMC.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., a member of the said organization, even before entering the service of the people, has been a strong advocate of the socio-civic projects of the RCCC.

The said project is a welcome addition to the services that will benefit the residents of Angeles City, and neighboring municipalities.
