The Mabalacat City government led by City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo held a Visual Art exhibit called “Pamiaduangan” launched on February 14, 2022, at the Gabaldon Hall of the Mabalacat Elementary School in Barangay Poblacion.
The exhibit will last until February 28, 2022.
The Art exhibit coincidentally is in line with the National Arts Month celebration, which this year has an overall theme of “Sining ng Pagasa” which aims to give hope to Local and aspiring artists through Creative Arts.
Together with Mabalacat Tourism Office, Mabalacat City College and Sibul Ning Kalalangan, Pamiaduangan is a collaborative effort by Mabalacat City’s way of celebrating National Arts Month.
On the same day, Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo announced his plan on converting the old Mabalacat municipal building that can be found in Barangay Poblacion into a permanent gallery, which will serve as a showcase hall and a cultural hub for local artists in Mabalacat City.
He also promised to support the welfare of the locals and the other creative artists in the whole city.
“Ang ‘pamiaduangan’ po ay may kahulugan na ang ibig sabihin ay pakikipagtulungan at kooperasyon. Sana po tayo ay magkaisa sa mga magagandang proyekto sa ating bayan,” Garbo said.
It is said that around 100 artworks are on display and will showcase the arts of a total of 13 local artists.
