First Ever OFW Hospital in the Country is in Pampanga

In honor of our OFWs’ sacrifices and hard work here and abroad. The first-ever OFW hospital in the country was built in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The first grounds of the OFW Hospital will be opened to the public to meet the medical needs of OFWs and their families. Currently, the 7th-story hospital is already at 70% completion.

By the time it is finished, it can accommodate up to one hundred (100) patients.

According to the DOLE, the hospital is intended to acknowledge the heroism of OFWs for their great contribution to the country’s economy.

Funded by the Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. The 7-story building cost ₱ 500-M, while PAGCOR allocated ₱ 200-M for medical equipment at the hospital. The 2 hectares of land on which the OFW Hospital stands was given by the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

Last May 1, 2022, President Rodrigo Duterte spearheaded the inspection of the country’s first OFW hospital to be situated in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

President Duterte was accompanied in the inspection by former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Senator Christopher Lawrence Bong Go, and other Secretaries of his cabinet.

By Executive Order No. 154, the OFW Hospital located in San Fernando City, Pampanga, provides medical services to our Modern Heroes OFWs along with their legal dependents.

Filipinos working abroad – land or sea-based
OWWA Members – Active or Not-Active, TNT (undocumented) & for those for good as long as they have records in the POLO OWWA.
