Where in Pampanga Goes Out of Town: A Laid-Back Island Adventure to Hundred Islands & The First Islatel

You know those trips that don’t start with a super detailed plan, but somehow end up being the most memorable? That’s exactly how this out-of-town adventure went. This time, Where in Pampanga, packed up the family, left San Fernando, Pampanga behind, and headed north for a refreshing escape to Hundred Islands in Alaminos City, Pangasinan—with a comfy stay at The First Islatel along the way.

From road trip naps to salty beach air, this journey had all the little moments that make traveling feel extra special.

Hitting the Road: Pampanga to Pangasinan

The day kicked off early, with the family leaving San Fernando around 7:30 in the morning—almost 8:00 AM by the time everyone was settled. It was one of those long drives where time moves slowly at first, then suddenly you’re already there. There were quick naps, random conversations, and that familiar feeling of excitement that builds up when you know you’re heading somewhere beautiful.

After a little over four hours on the road, we finally arrived in Alaminos City at around 11:43 AM. Tired? Yes. Excited? Definitely. Nothing beats that moment when the car stops, you stretch your legs, and realize, “Okay, vacation mode is officially on.”

Checking In at The First Islatel

Walking into The First Islatel instantly felt welcoming. The lobby was bright, the staff were friendly, and the check-in process was smooth—exactly what you want after a long drive. We were given our key cards, WiFi details, and a quick rundown of what to expect during our stay.

One fun detail that caught our attention right away was their Happy Hour, which runs from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, featuring cocktail drinks at the penthouse. Not a bad way to unwind after a day of traveling.

Our room was on the second floor, and even getting there felt exciting. There’s something about finally reaching your room that makes everything feel worth it.

Room Reveal: Space to Rest and Recharge

Opening the door was a pleasant surprise. The room was spacious, clean, and clearly designed with comfort in mind. It came with two queen-sized beds, which meant plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling cramped.

After more than four hours on the road, this was exactly what we needed—a place to rest, freshen up, and prepare for the rest of the day. By the time we settled in, it was already past 3:00 PM, so instead of rushing out, we decided to explore the hotel first.

Exploring the Hotel: More Than Just a Stay

The First Islatel isn’t the kind of hotel where you just sleep and leave. A quick walk around showed that it’s packed with spaces meant for both fun and relaxation.

There’s a function hall called Feno, which can host up to 100 people—perfect for parties, reunions, or special events. Nearby is the L Poolside area, another event-friendly space that can accommodate smaller gatherings of around 50 guests.

For those who like to stay active even on vacation, the hotel also has a gym, a basketball court, and a billiards area. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick workout, a friendly game, or just chilling with drinks, there’s something here for everyone.

Beach Time: A Hidden Bonus

Later in the day, it was finally time for one of the highlights of the trip—the beach. While The First Islatel isn’t directly beachfront at Hundred Islands, it offers something just as exciting: access to a private beach area exclusively for hotel guests.

With a quick booking at the front desk, guests can visit this beautiful coastal spot. The sand shifts between soft white and light brown, and the calm atmosphere makes it perfect for relaxing. There are cabanas available, making it ideal even for day tours.

It felt peaceful, uncrowded, and incredibly refreshing—one of those places where time slows down and you just enjoy being present.

Ending the Day on a High Note

As the day came to a close, it was clear this trip was one for the books. From the long drive and warm hotel welcome to the relaxing beach experience, everything came together effortlessly.

If you’re planning a trip to Alaminos City, Pangasinan and want a place that’s comfortable, family-friendly, and packed with amenities, The First Islatel is absolutely worth checking out.
