The concept of the BTO District revolves around sustainable farming practices, and the owner, a businessman from the United States, aimed to make a difference by implementing a modern approach to agriculture. The district started with the introduction of Koi fish, which they called aquaponics.
Later on, they combined it with Hydroponics to produce premium lettuces, and the Koi fish waste became an excellent source of fertilizer for the plants. The aquaponics, now called Mizukoi Koi Farm, offers a variety of premium Koi fish and aims to exceed the breeding facilities of Japan.
WAPOL HAUS derives its name from the Kapampangan pronunciation of the word “waffle,” and it stands for “We are Planters of Lettuce.” The restaurant uses only the freshest produce from their hydroponic farms, which are free from radicals and pesticides.
The restaurant offers a diverse range of dishes, from their top favorite Divine Truffle, Savory Belgian Waffle, Creamy Kani, Fiesta Burger, and Tasty Tuna, to their sweet waffles like Banana Choco, Peach Mango, and Strawberry Nutella. They also have appetizers such as Sweet Potato Routine, Garlic Fries, and Karne Asado Fries, and a wide selection of specialty coffee, normal coffees, and smoothies.
WAPOL HAUS features a unique and welcoming ambiance that can accommodate up to 160 people, divided into three areas: the enclosed area inside, the second level, and the area outside.
