Former President and Congresswoman-elect Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda, Lubao Vice Mayor Jay Montemayor, Second District Board Member Fritzie David Dizon, and DPWH Region 3 officials led the inauguration of the new bridge in the coastal barangay of Bancal Sinubli, last May 17, 2022.
The 66 linear meters long bridge is likely to benefit more than 800 residents of Bancal Sinubli and the neighboring communities in Lubao and Sasmuan towns, especially during the disaster.
The townlet of Bancal Sinubli is just one of the coastal areas of Lubao, Pampanga along the mouth of the Pampanga Bay, which is also a component of the larger Manila Bay. For several periods, the village will only be reachable using inland waterway transport, and for the most part, it will take more than a couple of hours to go to the town proper.
There is a tough road that leads to the town of Bancal Sinubli which ends in an old bridge route that has now been restored into a sturdier structure. Some portions of the bumpy road, as well as barriers, have been paved
