Marquee Mall in Angeles City was filled with music and emotion last September 20 as The Juans took the stage for their “Tawid tour.“ The performance wasn’t just another mall show—it marked a special stop in their 10th-anniversary celebration, giving Kapampangan fans an exclusive preview of their highly anticipated new album.
Tawid: A New Chapter in Music
The Juans—composed of Carl Guevarra, RJ Cruz, Japs Mendoza, and Chael Adriano—chose an album title that reflects transition and growth. Tawid, which means “to cross over,” symbolizes the band’s evolution both musically and emotionally.
Featuring ten original tracks, the album captures the different stages of love: from the first sparks of infatuation to heartbreak, and ultimately, healing. Its sound remains true to the group’s signature pop-rock style—catchy, heartfelt, and relatable. At the same time, the lyrics offer a deeper narrative, almost like pages from a diary, making each song feel personal to listeners.
Highlights include the singles “Ano Ba Talaga Tayo?” and “Ako Na Lang”, alongside special collaborations with Rhodessa and Janine Berdin, which bring fresh perspectives and texture to the album.
Ten Years of Connection
Tawid is The Juans’ second full-length album, following their 2022 debut Liwanag and earlier EPs. Together, these projects showcase the group’s growth and consistency in creating music that resonates with Filipino audiences.
This growth was evident during the Pampanga performance. Fans experienced a mix of new songs and established hits, with the crowd responding enthusiastically to every track. The night’s highlight came with “Hindi Tayo Pwede”, the band’s most recognizable anthem. The moment the first notes played, the audience instantly sang along, turning the venue into one unified choir. It was a powerful reminder of the band’s ability to connect deeply with their listeners.

Looking Ahead
The Juans have consistently proven that their strength lies not only in their sound but also in their storytelling. With Tawid, they continue to provide music that reflects real experiences and emotions, while also marking a significant milestone in their decade-long journey.
As they move forward, the band invites Juanistas to cross this new chapter with them—proving once again that their music is more than entertainment; it’s a shared experience.
