The best key to making the food delicious is to have a secret ingredient which is Love. Food made with Love will make people 2x happier. This is what a small Doughnut shop in Pampanga did.

Amilyn David, who was originally from Bacolod City moved to the Province of Pampanga when she was a child. Pampanga is where she grew up from puberty to adulthood. She was able to finish her university days in Pampanga.

In her interview from a local weekly live streaming show named “Fran-Guru Exchange,” Amilyn shared her sole reason why she decided to open a doughnut shop in Pampanga. It is to honor her mother.

Amilyn decided to open a small Doughnut shop because of her mother’s forgotten dream.

Both of Amilyn’s parents are independent. Her dad started as a distributor of popsicles. Later on, when Mt. Pinatubo exploded, her dad took the whole family to Batangas while venturing their family’s business into a meat shop. However, her mom has a different dream.

Amilyn’s mom loves baking. During her spare time, she will bake diverse types of pastries including a hamburger in front of a school. However, her mom didn’t have any opportunities to open her bakeshop because Amilyn’s Dad disapproved of her mom’s dream since their family started growing in numbers.

Amilyn has never forgotten what her mother once dreamed of. Although; she was employed in the human resources department of a prominent service, she still determines to have time to have a baking session with her mom.

In 2016, she started her small Doughnut shop in Dolores, Pampanga.

Initially, wanting to start up a bakery, but eventually, she started to shift into Doughnuts.

In her doughnut shop, you can choose various doughnuts that you can enjoy while doing a lot of stuff. She later named the shop “Simply Donuts”.

Why Simply Donuts?

She believes that one of her best personalities is being simple. Simplicity is indeed the best!

Soon, it became the talk of the town. More and more people would buy their Donuts.

Customers would also travel to their store coming from different places in Pampanga and, outside Pampanga just to have a bite of their doughnuts.
