On October 23, 2017, Monday, Malacañang released Proclamation No. 332 declaring Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga to be on a non-working holiday from November 13 to 15 due to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.
Signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the non-working holidays were recommended in preparation for the traffic and security enforcement on the various activities directly connected with the 31st ASEAN Summit as well as it’s related exercises.
The president of the United States – Donald Trump, plus 20 other world leaders are expected to attend this international assembly.
The 31st ASEAN is the second international summit of heads of government to be hosted by the Philippines under the Duterte administration happening on November 13-15, 2017 at Clark Air Base, Pampanga.
