Bembi’s Pizza is not a typical chain restaurant that serves flatbread and finger foods. It’s actually a backyard pizza house inside a rural subdivision in Magalang. Although it may seem to have matters on accessibility, this hidden food house has a considerable number of patrons. In fact, a large percentage of their returning customers are not from Magalang.
So what made these customers come back for more?
According to Yan Salvador, the restaurateur and main chef of Bembi’s, the restaurant started when she stopped working in the corporate and decided to be a dedicated housewife. To add a little income for her family, she tried to put up a small food business inside their fence.
At first, she would only entertain orders and then delivers the pizza using public tricycles. Until people started to request a place where they could dine and eat pizza right away.
To satisfy the demand of their customers, her family decided to have a small portion of their lot to be a dining area. And the rest is history.
All we know about Bembi’s is that they serve pizza. The rest is pure curiosity. And our curiosity paid off. It was one great EATsperience after a long drive from our home.
Here’s our menu…

You can combine 2 available pizza flavors according to your heart’s desire.
Tex-Mex (Php 399) and Bacon & Mushroom (Php 349) – Combination
Sisig Fries (Php 200) – This unique finger food was featured at a local T.V. program and was discovered from a university event. It has their home-made sisig and a choice of potato shoestrings or potato fries, topped with special white sauce, jalapeno and cilantro. A must try if you go here!
Hot Wings Buffalo Style (Php 4 pcs whole wings) – Do you want a free t-shirt? Order a Bembi’s Hot Wings Challenge with a spice level of 11. Finish it within 10 mins with only one glass of water to drink.
Organic Lemongrass Iced Tea (Php 150) – Made from lemongrass coming from their organic garden.
The also got coffee and frappuccino just in case you crave them.
What we liked about this humble restaurant is, a good food doesn’t need to be complicated nor need a brand to be great. Now we know why people are willing to drive a long way just to dine at Bembi’s – that’s because they appreciate what good food is all about.
So when you go here, don’t be surprised about the size of the place. My guess, it has only about 15-20 seating capacity. But that adds up to its charm – you get to dine with your friends intimately.
As our end note, Bembi’s Pizza still prefers order and delivery arrangement, although they still accept walk-ins. If you intend to dine in, you may want to pre-order or call them in advance.
